Through the video-camera available in the Telepathology system, a variety of consultations and educational exercises take place between the Beckley and Richmond VAMC staff.
Mr. Frank Einsmann is responsible for the education coordination of telepathology via the telepathology equipment as well as the telemedicine vdeoconferencing equipment. Ms. Beverly Jarret is the Chief Technologist at the Beckley VAMC and is also the educational coordinator counterpart at the Beckley VAMC, she is seen on the screen video tele-conferencing with Mr. Einsmann.
Several lectures have taken place in the VISN6 Network via Telepathology and Telemedicine services. This activity helps technologists acquire CME hours for CAP (College of American Pathologists) accreditation of the educational component VISN-wide.
