Key Personnel

Director - His/her primary role is to monitor the quality of assessments, aid in emergency situations, and act as a liaison to external projects. He/she will provide medical and diagnostic expertise along with support as needed. The psychiatrist/psychologist will provide supervision on a consistent basis to support and educate the staff. The director is ultimately responsible for the integrity of all data collected by the lab and the maintenance of confidentiality.

Behavioral Health Specialist (BHS) – The role of BHS is to monitor patients, provide education and support, influence adherence to guidelines by providing "on-time, on-target" information to primary care physicians, and collaboratively make appropriate care decisions. The BHS should be an RN, PA, Social Worker, or psychologist at the bachelor’s or master’s degree level with at least 2 years of experience in research or clinical settings. The BHS is an integral part of the health care team at the site(s) to which he/she is assigned.

Health Technician (HT) - The main responsibilities of the HT will include administering assessments, scheduling patient appointments, day-to-day administrative duties in managing the BHL, data entry, PCC contact and patient contact. Health Technicians are selected on the basis of their personal attributes and interpersonal skills as well as their substantive knowledge. They are trained and periodically observed to ensure that they are respectful and sensitive to the needs and feelings of the subjects during all contacts.
