Regional Model

The following model represents one possibility for structuring the Behavioral Health Lab. Under this model, one central lab would serve as Coordinating Center . Interviews would be conducted by Health Technicians (HTs) at the center under the Director. A Behavioral Health Specialist (BHS) located within each medical center would act as a liaison to the Coordinating Center . This model could be implemented, for example, within a VISN, with a single lab serving a number of medical centers.
