Psychoeducation, Depression
At the completion of a BHL initial interview, patients who have acknowledged significant symptoms of depression are mailed educational materials regarding specific symptoms reported by the patient. These materials provide brief suggestions for dealing with these symptoms. For example, a patient who has experienced a change in appetite (excessive eating or a loss of appetite) may be advised to keep track of their diet, give their doctor a list of the foods they eat, and to eat balanced, nutritious meals.
