Depression Monitoring

Depression Monitoring is a service designed to help Primary Care Clinicians provide evidence-based care as well as meet Performance Measures regarding new antidepressant prescriptions for patients. After an initial core BHL interview, the BHL health technicians will follow-up with patients at 2, 6 and 9 weeks after the medication prescription date. These short interviews include questions about depressive symptoms, medication adherence and possible side effects. A progress report is provided to the Primary Care Clinicians to help in treatment planning and to alert clinicians of special issues such as low adherence or lack of response.
