Telephone Validity
Telephone assessment is important in order to assess patients across geographically diverse settings in a manner that is convenient to participants, relatively inexpensive, and reliable.
- Researchers have explored the reliability of telephone assessments for diagnosis and other key assessments.
- Studies of telephone assessment of core measures conducted in an integrated geriatric medical/psychiatric primary care settings at the University of Pennsylvania demonstrated moderate to excellent concurrent validity for telephone assessment measurement as compared to face-to-face administration.
- See References for further information regarding Telephone Validity.
