Educational Activities: Training Opportunities
The Philadelphia hub of our MIRECC has been awarded funding for two Fellows through the VA Special Fellowships Program in Advanced Psychiatry and Psychology. Go to the Fellowship link for a full description. The first VISN 4 MIRECC Fellow joined us in July 2001 and since then
seven Fellows have received specialized training and experience in the clinical care and research of psychiatric patients with comorbid medical and/or substance use disorders.
Informal training
opportunities also are made available to care
providers and other professionals. For
example, in years past, the MIRECC has offered a
class to train investigators in setting up and
managing databases.
