Jeffrey Peters, M.D.
Dr. Peters is Vice President, Behavioral Health Programs, VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System and Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He has extensive experience teaching and supervising medical students, psychiatric residents and geriatric psychiatry fellows. He has served as investigator or co-investigator on a number of NIH, VA, and pharmaceutical company funded studies since 1986. Dr. Peters has been actively involved in new program initiatives (telepsychiatry) and clinical program development between VA Pittsburgh and the other VA Medical Centers in the western half of the Stars and Stripes Network (VISN 4), and he is an active leader in the VISN 4 Behavioral Health subcommittee.
