What Is the Vets Lodge?
The Vets Lodge is a hoptel room that can accommodate two persons. It is designed for eligible veterans who need sleeping accommodations for appointments, working with Outpatient Social Workers on placement, or will be admitted to the Dom. Family members who have a veteran in the Community Living Center, in need of over night accommodations may also be authorized use of the hoptel.

The Vets Lodge is located in the basement of Building 6, Room 5. (picture of room)

Cost And Meals?
There is no charge for the room for eligible veterans or for family members of veterans in the NHCU. Meal tickets are issued to eligible veterans, but not to family members.

Who Are Eligible Veterans?
Veterans who are independent in ADL's, ambulates without assistance, can take own medications, is medically and psychiatrically stable and has no apparent active drug or alcohol use may be eligible for use of the hoptel.

How Do I Apply For Use Of The Vets Lodge?
Contact the Behavioral Health Outpatient Social Worker at (585) 393-7251 to request the use of the room.
