Program Requirements
All volunteers are hospital employees or volunteers that have been with the hospital for 6 months.
Background checks have been done.
Confidentially agreements have been signed.
Patient privacy classes have been taken.

Complete Review of Requirements
Orientation
Each volunteer is given an orientation packet which contains both practical and inspirational materials to assist them in their service as a compassionate companion.

Provide companionship to patients/veterans in the dying process who are truly alone. Provide the gift of respect and dignity to another human being at the end of life.
