<p><font size="2" face="Arial, Helvetica, Geneva">The Stratton VA Medical Center, part of the VA Healthcare Network Upstate New York, is located in the heart of Albany, New York. Opened in 1951, our Medical Center serves veterans in 22 counties of upstate New York, western Massachusetts and Vermont. In 1990 this facility was named in honor of Samuel S. Stratton, U.S. Congressman for 30 years of the 23rd District, a staunch supporter of veterans and a frequent visitor to our hospital.</font> <br /><br /><font size="3" face="Arial, Helvetica, Geneva"><strong>Affiliations</strong></font><br /><br /><font size="2" face="Arial, Helvetica, Geneva">Affiliated residency programs are fully integrated with Albany Medical College. Residents and medical students from Albany Medical College and other medical schools rotate through the medical center on a continuous basis. In addition, we offer a Women Veterans Health Program that addresses a variety of health care needs specific to women veterans. Services include gynecology, bone density screening and on-site mammography. <p><span style="font-size:small">The New Mexico Veterans Affairs Health Care System (NMVAHCS) strives to provide the highest quality primary, secondary, and tertiary health care to its beneficiaries through a compassionate, innovative health care system, excellent training and education of health care professionals, and effective use of available resources. The Albuquerque Veterans Affairs </span><span style="font-size:small">Medical</span><span style="font-size:small">Center</span><span style="font-size:small"> (VAMC) is a Level 1 tertiary referral center with a 24-hour Emergency Room located in the heart of the </span><span style="font-size:small">Land</span><span style="font-size:small"> of </span><span style="font-size:small">Enchantment</span><span style="font-size:small">. The medical center is authorized to operate 310 beds, which include 184 acute hospital beds (including a 26 bed Spinal Cord Injury Center), 90 residential rehabilitation treatment program beds (including a 26 bed Psychosocial Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program [PRRTP], a 24 bed Substance Abuse Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program [SARRTP], a 40 bed Domiciliary RRTP), and a 36-bed Nursing Home Care Unit. The NMVAHCS is a proud member of Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 22, located in Long Beach, CA.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:small">The New Mexico VA Health Care System has a major affiliation with the University of New Mexico School of Medicine (UNMSOM) with 122.1 resident FTE currently rotating through 33 clinical residency-training programs. UNM is </span><span style="font-size:small">New Mexico</span><span style="font-size:small">'s only medical school and the Albuquerque VAMC is the only VA hospital. Together they serve as invaluable resources for the state. The NMVAHCS also enjoys affiliations with with nearly 70 other academic institutions for associated health training opportunities</span>.</p>
