Conference Series— Caring
for Veterans Returning from Recent Conflicts

The WRIISC has held seven successful conferences in its series “Caring for Veterans Returning from Recent Conflicts,” and is planning for future conferences. This conference series covers the latest clinical advances, research, and relevant health issues for veterans returning from Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. It is intended for VA health care professionals, including physicians, nurses, psychologists, and social workers.
Each conference is held at the Maritime Institute in Linthicum Heights, Maryland.
The conference presentations have covered a diverse range of topics. Content areas have included cognitive and mental health, infectious disease, exposure, injury, benefits, and more. Additional information about topics covered in past sessions is listed below.
