Participant Satisfactions Surveys
As of March 18, 2016 the transition to the new Participant Satisfaction Survey is complete and survey weblinks are active. Per the SSVF Final Rule, grantees are mandated to provide each exiting participant household with a SSVF Participant Satisfaction Survey. In order to satisfy this requirement, grantees should electronically distribute the survey to participants within 30 days of the participant's exit from the program, using a customized weblink provided by VA survey vendor, M. Davis and Company (MDAC).
If your grantee Point of Contact has not received the survey weblink or you have questions regarding the process, please contact MDAC at 215-790-8900 ext. 132 or vassvf@mdavisco.com.

Community Planning
Toolkit: Case Conferencing Overview and Master List Overview
The
SSVF Program Office would like to highlight two
tools recently added to the SSVF Website to help grantees with their efforts to
end Veteran homelessness.
Case Conferencing Overview: Communities across the country
are recognizing the need for consistent,
inclusive case conferencing processes to ensure that
Veterans experiencing homelessness are provided rapid linkages to appropriate
housing interventions and desired services. This document outlines the goals of
case conferencing; a basic framework for meeting management including
prioritization strategies, agenda considerations and facilitation
techniques; and the intersection between case conferencing and the
community's master/active list.
Master List Overview: The Master or Active List has been demonstrated to be one of the key tools for communities pursuing an end to homelessness among Veterans. The Master List allows communities to know and understand the housing needs of each and every homeless Veteran in their area while also providing critical system level data and performance indicators, including system barriers and areas of opportunity. This document highlights the goals of the Master List and addresses key considerations for communities related to the development, maintenance and use of the list as they strive to end homelessness among Veterans.
Both documents are attached and also available on the SSVF website at:

Legal Update
Pine Tree Legal Assistance is excited to share that they have new resources available for Veterans and Veterans’ advocates on the Stateside Legal website and will be launching a members-only shared document library on June 30th for Veterans Advocates! The members-only section is specifically geared towards SSVF legal services grantees/sub-grantees and Medical Legal Projects at the VA. The hope is that this member’s only page will provide a safe place to share best practices on issues such as outcomes.
This new platform is designed to connect individuals and groups serving Veterans across the country, encourage relationships and foster communication and sharing of resources.
Please see the attached flyer and contact Nan Heald at nheald@ptla.org for more information or if you are interested in joining this community.
Thank you,
SSVF Program Office
