1...Final Reminder to Complete HHS Payment Request for SSVF FY2015 Grants by December 15th

The extension period has passed for FY 2015 SSVF grants.  This reminder is for all SSVF grantees with programs that ended on 09/30/15 (this refers to all SSVF grant awards except for Priority 1) that all payment requests MUST be submitted to the HHS Payment Management System by close of business on December 15, 2015.  All final draws and transactions must be processed by this date, as the HHS accounts are scheduled to automatically to close on December 16, 2015.  There are no exceptions to this deadline, as grantees have been instructed over the last few weeks to begin closing FY2015 grant accounts.  It is important that grantees are aware that the SSVF Program Office no longer closes the accounts on an individual basis, as we have done in the past.  Remaining funds will be returned to the Department of Treasury and the SSVF Program Office does not have the authority or ability to process any requests after the December 15, 2015 close.    It is costly to keep grant accounts active after project terms have ended and the VA is making every effort to minimize program costs.  Grantees have until COB December 15, 2015 to make any final HHS draws and transactions.  Again, HHS accounts for FY2015 will be closed on December 16, 2015.
