SOAR
Voices Blog
Last week, one of our SSVF grantees, Swords to Plowshares,
was featured as a guest blogger in the SSI/SSDI Outreach, Access, and Recovery
(SOAR) blog. Great work! This is the link
or click on
http://soarworks.prainc.com/blog
The SOAR TA Center’s new SOAR Voices blog (http://soarworks.prainc.com/blog) is a collection of stories and
experiences from SOAR providers across the nation, and they want your story!
They will feature a different post each month by a member of the SOAR community
– from Hawaii to Maine. The SOAR TA Center would love to feature SSVF grantees
who are utilizing SOAR to help end Veteran homelessness.
Call for submissions: If you would like to write a post for
the SOAR Voices blog, please e-mail your post to soar@prainc.com, with the subject line “SOAR
Voices.” Posts are accepted on a rolling basis and should be between 250-500
words, and, if possible, include an image to go along with the post.

USICH releases Further Guidance for Communities on What it Means to End Veteran
Homelessness
Earlier this year, USICH, VA, and HUD developed
a set of criteria to help communities assess their progress toward achieving
the goal of ending Veteran homelessness.
USICH heard from many communities that they would like the criteria to be
clearer about some of the expectations and more measurable. In response,
USICH further refined the criteria and added some benchmarks and specifications
to clarify how we define ending Veteran homelessness.
Attached are two documents for your review:

THE GOAL OF ENDING VETERAN HOMELESSNESS Criteria and Benchmarks
