New: SSVF Financial Auditing Agency now Veteran Affairs’ (VA) Office of Internal Controls (OIC)

Effective October 1, 2017, the Veteran Affairs’ (VA) Office of Internal Controls (OIC) replaced the VA Financial Services Center (FSC) as the auditing agency for Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program.  Working with contractor support, OIC plans on conducting 12 onsite and 12 desk audits of SSVF grant programs annually.  OIC has started to send engagement letters to Grantees it intends to review in Fiscal Year 2018.  If you receive notification of an upcoming review and have questions or wish for more information on the OIC review process, please contact the team lead, Jeff Brean at Jeffrey.brean@va.gov.

Reminder:  Rapid ReHousing Institute Evaluations

The SSVF Program Office thanks all those participants in both Rapid ReHousing Institutes in Duluth, GA and Los Angeles, CA.  It is important that the planning committee received feedback from participants, in order to inform future trainings.  Please ensure that your representative completes the evaluation.  For the East Coast RRHI, evaluations were sent to participant’s email account on October 26.  West Coast RRHI evaluations will be sent to participant’s email account on November 2.
