The SSVF Program Office will share updates from the Veteran Satisfaction Survey Reports for the 3rd quarter, in addition to highlighting improvements to the report.  The Program Office will also review and highlight survey registration practices.

Additionally, VHA’s SQUARES Business Owner will be discussing SQUARES registration and access information.  As a reminder, each SSVF Grantee should have an assigned SQUARES Manager, and users should plan to login at least every 30 days to avoid deactivation for inactivity.

PLEASE NOTE: The registration link for this webinar will be provided in the May 6th Program Update.

REMINDER: SSVF Returns to 40% Maximum Expenditure for Prevention TFA

As of July 1, 2022, SSVF will be returning to regular guidance that limits TFA for homeless prevention to a maximum of 40% of TFA spending. This returns SSVF to its primary focus on placing literally homeless Veteran families into permanent housing. This guidance is also consistent with the Secretary’s goal of placing 38,000 homeless Veterans into permanent housing by the end of 2022. It is expected that 4th quarter grantee expenditures will reflect this change in guidance.

NEW: SQUARES Mangers Updates Needed: Due May 6, 2022

VHA’s SQUARES Business Owner is requesting all SSVF Grantees have updated SQUARES Managers and Back-up Managers designated in the “Manager’s Portal”. Over the last year, there have been numerous staff changes with Grantees. If Grantees do not have Managers and Back-up Managers listed in the system, there could be delays to registering staff.  More information will be shared on the SSVF National Webinar: SSVF Customer Satisfaction Survey & SQUARES Updates May 12, 2022: 2pm. In the interim, the SSVF Program Office requests all Grantees ensure appropriate designations have been verified and/or added by close of business May 6, 2022.

The SSVF Program Office, in partnership with the other VA Homeless Program offices and our federal partners, is pleased to announce registration for the upcoming 2022 Virtual VA Permanent Housing Conference – Putting it All Together: Enhanced Partnerships to Serve Those Who Serve!

The 2022 conference will feature twelve virtual sessions taking place over two weeks during the weeks of June 6th and June 13th. Sessions will be 90 minutes long and will cover a variety of topics relevant to SSVF, VA’s Homeless Programs and the broader Federal goal of ending homelessness among Veterans. All sessions will be held on the Zoom platform. More detailed descriptions and learning objectives for individual sessions will be released soon.

Please use the Zoom registration links below to register for each individual session you plan to attend. SSVF Grantees are strongly encouraged to attend as many sessions as possible. We plan to offer Continuing Education Units for these sessions. Please indicate in the registration form(s) whether you need or are interested in receiving CEUs for your participation.
