The SSVF

released. Please notate the underlined clarification statement.
The revised
Program Guide will clarify this section with this additional language, as it
only pertains to ineligible purchases for Grantee staff. All other
ineligible expenses listed on Page 96 remain the same and are not impacted by
this update.

The April
SSVF National Webinar will review the new SSVF Annual Report’s findings.
We will share new information of SSVF’s service trends, demographics, living
situations at entry, destinations, and returns to homelessness. In
addition to this review, the Office of Business Oversight (OBO) will share the
summary of FY2020 audit results. This webinar will highlight the common
findings, frequent causes of those findings, and suggestions to avoid similar
issues with financial and operational activities going forward.
ACTION
NEEDED: SSVF Modified Costs Allocation Approach (MACA) Survey due: May 6,
2021 (PDF attached)
As the SSVF
Program Office has offered the opportunity for Grantees to transition to a new
method to account for administrative costs using Modified Costs Allocation
Approach (MACA), we would like to provide Grantees with an opportunity to
provide feedback on this very important and critical process. The SSVF
Compliance Office is requesting that each Grantee complete the MACA Survey to
provide feedback on the MACA process thus far and any recommendations for the
remainder of the roll out. The survey is specifically designed for the
Finance staff that oversee the administrative costs section of the SSVF
budget. The questions are attached and the survey may be found here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/K5BHGKW.
Only one survey should be completed per Grantee and are due by: May 6,
2021. If you have any questions, please email Rico Aiello, SSVF
Compliance at: Riccardo.aiello@va.gov
GOOD
NEWS: “Grantee Acknowledgement from Veteran”
The SSVF
Program Office would like to share the following acknowledgement, which a
Veteran participant wrote for his assigned SSVF Case Manager, Erik Rodriguez,
of Community Catalyst in San Diego, CA.
“I wanted
to give my thanks for the extraordinary work Erik has done on my behalf.
He has been attentive to all my needs and gone the extra mile in
everything he has done. He has worked tirelessly. He has been
timely and responsive to my phone calls and has always communicated in a
positive manner. I thought you should be aware of his commitment to
serving our community and feel that with him on my team anything is possible.
Please thank him for me and let him know that his hard work and dedication has
not gone unnoticed. Thank you for all your support during the most
difficult and frightening time of my life.”
Regards,
