REMINDER: HPO Policy Guidance- Emergency Housing Assistance Remains an Allowable Service

The SSVF Program Office would like to remind Grantees that Emergency Housing Assistance remains an allowable service option and the use of SSVF funds remains an allowable expense.

Attached to this Program Update is the most recent EHA Policy for SSVF Grantees to use when determining if Emergency Housing Assistance is the most appropriate placement for a Veteran seeking housing.  As a reminder, Grantees should be using this document and collaboration with community and VA partners in placing eligible Veterans into Emergency Housing when appropriate.  As of June 30, 2022, SSVF was supporting 2,692 Veterans who were awaiting Permanent Housing placement. Please reach out to your Regional Coordinator if you have any questions.

As this call series is intended to provide broad technical assistance and support that integrates all VA and community-partner programs and services towards accomplishing the goal, VA Homeless Program staff are strongly encouraged to participate.

These calls will be held on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the Month at 3pm EST/12pm PT and this goal will be a major focus of homeless program operations for the remainder of CY 2022.
