This webinar will continue the
discussion of using MACA as an alternative approach for grantees to account for
and support their administrative expenses. The webinar will provide
additional details on the process to transition to MACA. The audience for
this webinar is specifically for SSVF leadership and fiscal staff with an
interest in using MACA. Please register using the following link: https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/3901498674638150415
NEW: FY2022
NOFA Response submission- Submissions
have been simplified, only requiring documentation of intent to continue
services through FY2022 or FY2023 for Priority 3 submissions (AKA Letter
of Intent), Budget & CoC distribution (Exhibit I-III) and proof of
accreditation, when indicated. In preparation, Grantees may download the
Exhibit I-III, to have ready when the updated guidance for submission is given
by our office. Letters of Intent will be incorporated into the new grants
management system. No application or letters of support are required.
More information on submissions will be provided by the SSVF Program Office,
within the coming weeks.
NEW: Grantee Submissions to SSVF Program Office
Last month, the SSVF Program Office
informed grantees that SSVF would transition from Blackbaud Grantmaking (GIFTS)
to a new grants management platform. Our office is working closely
with our new grants management software vendor to migrate existing grantee data
into our new system and set up processes to ensure a smooth transition for both
Grantee and VA staff. Further guidance and training will be provided on
submitting Grantee documents to the Program Office, such as Program Changes and
OBO documents for FOFA visits. While we continue to prepare for
using the new system, we have a few interim procedures that we want to alert
Grantees to:
Critical Incidents- The Critical Incident Instructions
and Submission Guide form is available at: https://www.va.gov/HOMELESS/ssvf/?page=/official_guide/reporting_and_monitoring_requirements
Please submit the following types of
Critical Incidents to your SSVF Regional Coordinator via email:
Contact Changes- Contact Changes for your agency may
be submitted to your SSVF Regional Coordinator via email. Please indicate which
contact(s) will be added/removed, along with the Name, Title, Email and
Telephone number for each contact (if applicable). The SSVF Contact options
are:
Response to Grievances- Your SSVF Regional Coordinator will
reach out to your agency by email if our office receives a grievance from a
Veteran. It is up to each agency to have a grievance policy in
place and respond directly to Veterans as quickly as possible to manage each complaint
or concern. Your SSVF Regional Coordinator will follow up with your
agency to determine if the grievance has been resolved and can be closed out.
Our office will work hard to help
Grantees prepare to use the new grants system as quickly as possible and
appreciate your flexibility in adapting to these interim procedures. We will
keep you informed of our progress throughout this transition.
