UPDATED: Quarterly Certifications (FY 18 1st Quarter) Are Now Available in GIFTS – Due January 22, 2018
The Quarterly Certifications are now available in GIFTS. This certification will cover grantee reporting for the first quarter period of 10/1/2017 – 12/31/2017. The certification covers multiple SSVF program requirements including: Compliance with the Final Rule, Grant Agreement, Data Quality, Participant Satisfaction Surveys, Households Screened but not Enrolled, Trainings/Webinars, and Expenditure & HHS Subaccount Drawdowns. Submissions are due no later than January 22, 2018 via the GIFTS grants management system.
The updated SSVF Companion Guide to Quarterly Certifications is attached to this update and available on the SSVF Website:
The SSVF Program Office would like to acknowledge that the Participant Survey vendor, M. Davis, distributes the participant survey reports on a quarterly basis. The Quarterly Certification form references a monthly review of such reports, which is an error and should reference a quarterly review of these reports. Please note that it is understood that a grantee may certify that they are reviewing these reports on a quarterly basis. Additionally, grantees received the quarterly participant survey report from M. Davis earlier this week and are to reference these reports when completing the Participant Satisfaction Survey section of the Quarterly Certification.
NOTICE: Potential Government Shutdown
The SSVF Program Office does not expect that a government shutdown would have any near-term impact on program operations.
RESOURCE: IRS Resources for Veterans
The IRS is committed to providing assistance to all Veterans and they work with community and government partners to provide timely federal tax-related information to Veterans about tax credits and benefits, free tax preparation, financial education and asset-building opportunities. In the attachment, “Veterans Fact Sheet for Partners”, SSVF grantees will find a number of resources regarding free tax services available to Veterans.
Thank you,
