REMINDER: HPO Policy Guidance- Emergency
Housing Assistance Remains an Allowable Service
The SSVF Program Office
would like to remind Grantees that Emergency Housing Assistance remains an
allowable service and SSVF funds are still allowable at this time.
Attached to this
Program Update is the most recent EHA Policy for SSVF Grantees to use when
determining if Emergency Housing Assistance is the most appropriate placement
for a Veteran seeking housing. As a reminder, Grantees should be using
this document and collaboration with community and VA partners in placing eligible
Veterans into Emergency Housing when appropriate. As of June 30, SSVF was
supporting 2,692 Veterans who were awaiting Permanent Housing placement. Please
reach out to your Regional Coordinator if you have any questions.

Homeless Program’s Pathways Graphic Available
The
SSVF Technical Support partners in collaboration with the VA Homeless Programs
Office and SSVF Program Office, have developed a new graphic for
providers. This graphic demonstrates the dynamic ways all VA Homeless
Programs may work together to serve Veterans experiencing homelessness.

REMINDER: Office Hours Permanent Housing Placement (PHP) National Challenge to House 38,000 Veterans: 2nd and 4th Fridays of the Month
The
next PHP National Challenge to House 38,000 Veterans Office Hours call will be
on Friday August 12, 2022, at 3pm EST/12pm PT.
As this call series is intended to provide broad technical assistance and support that integrates all VA and community-partner programs and services towards accomplishing the goal, SSVF Grantees are strongly encouraged to participate.
These calls will be held on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the Month at 3pm EST/12pm PT.
This goal will be a major focus of homeless program operations for the remainder of CY 2022.
