SSVF HMIS Repository Monthly Data Reports- January 14, 2021 2pm EST
In this
webinar, ABT Associates will review the newest SSVF monthly reporting from the
VA HMIS Repository and how to interpret the results each SSVF program receives
at the end of each upload cycle. A refresher of the Data Quality Summary
and Data Quality Details reports, which are sent with every successful upload,
will also be provided. There will be an opportunity for data collection
questions and clarification on any upload concerns that have arisen within the
first few uploads of the new fiscal year.
NEW: FY2019 VA Homeless Programs Office
(HPO) Annual Report
The VA
Homeless Programs Office (HPO) Annual Report summarizes the results achieved
through 2019 by HPO Staff and partners across the nation (NHCs, VAMCs, internal
and external stakeholders, etc.) to help Veterans who are homeless or at risk
of homelessness. This newly published report includes outcomes for VA
programs that provide support to Veterans facing housing crises. The report
also spotlights the results of the data-informed approach to preventing and
ending homelessness among Veterans. Success stories included in the
report reveal, in deeply personal terms, the impact of our shared work in the
lives of Veterans and their families. Beyond the data, the success
stories will continue to fuel VA HPO’s commitment to ensuring that every
Veteran has a safe place to call home and can quickly access the VA benefits
they have earned and deserve.

REMINDER: LMS Training Opportunities &
Coordinating with Local Grantee Learning Managers
The SSVF
Program Office partners with our Technical Assistance providers to offer the
Housing Skills Practice Center, an online learning platform that allows for
interactive curricula on topics relevant to SSVF. Each Grantee has been
assigned a Grantee Learning Manager. This role is responsible for setting up
learner accounts, has access to reporting information on learner
accomplishments, and a general oversight of their grant’s portal in the Housing
Skills Practice Center. If there are Grantee staff who are interested in
accessing the Housing Skills Practice Center, they should first ask internally
about who their Grantee Learning Manager is, and that person should be able to
create an account for them if they have space available. If they need assistance
finding their Grantee Learning Manager, they should e-mail housingpractice@tacinc.org
and include their grant number. If an assigned Grantee Learning Manager
has not yet set up their account or has other questions related to their role,
they should also use the email address above.
REMINDER: Returning Home
The SSVF
Program Office recognizes that there has been an increase of Veterans who are
looking to relocate due to the economic crisis that COVID-19 has caused.
For grantees who plan to submit a Returning Home Request on behalf of a Veteran
household, we first recommend reviewing the Returning Home Guidance in its
entirety: https://www.va.gov/HOMELESS/ssvf/docs/Returning_Home_Guidance_and_FAQs.pdf
Please contact
your SSVF Regional Coordinator if you continue to have questions after your
full review of the guidance.
REMINDER: SSVF 2020 Virtual Permanent Housing
Conference – Registration is Now Open
SSVF Grantees
were sent instructions on October 23rd from our partners at the SSVF@tacinc.org group regarding the two step
SSVF 2020 Virtual Permanent Housing Conference registration process. It
is important to review that email regarding registrations and obtaining
Continuing Education Credits based on event attendance. Event sessions
will run from November 9, 2020 through November 20, 2020 on a variety of topics
relevant to your daily work with homeless Veterans. Note: due to the
conference being virtual, we are strongly encouraging Grantees to support as
many staff as possible to attend the event.
Regards,
