The SSVF Program Office is hosting this webinar for Fiscal and Administrative staff on materials that are presented at this year’s Program Manager Academy.

This webinar event is primarily for fiscal, accounting or administrative staff working with SSVF grants.  The webinar will contain components and information provided for fiscal staff members related to compliance, auditing and fiscal management of your SSVF grants.

REMINDER: FY22 Request to Extend Funds: UDPaaS Activity Due October13, 2022

 

The SSVF Program Office has published an extension activity for completion. Grantees spending FY22 funding past September 30, 2022 are expected to complete the activity to extend utilization of FY22 funds up to March 31, 2023.  SSVF grantees will see an activity in UDPaaS to request this extension to allow utilization not to exceed March 31, 2023. All grantees are required to request this extension via UDPaaS.  Please go into UDPaaS, locate the activity under “My SSVF Tasks” and indicate “Yes” on the request to extend FY22 spending. This task is due October 13 2022.  Please reach out to your Regional Coordinator if you have any questions. 

 

 

REMINDER: SSVF Monthly Repository Upload Change

 

The SSVF Program Office would like to remind grantees the monthly repository upload deadline was changed from the 9th day of the month to the 7th day of the month.  Grantees should ensure uploads are attempted within the first two days of the month, allowing for modifications or corrections to be made up to the 7th day.  

 

October 2022 Upload periods: 

·         First upload due Monday, October 3rd

·         Final upload due Friday, October 7th

REMINDER: Office Hours Permanent Housing Placement (PHP) National Challenge to House 38,000 Veterans: 2nd and 4th Fridays of the Month

 

The next PHP National Challenge to House 38,000 Veterans Office Hours call will be on Friday, October 14, 2022. This call will provide guidance and recommendations on conducting housing surges. 

As this call series is intended to provide broad technical assistance and support that integrates all VA and community-partner programs and services towards accomplishing the goal, SSVF grantees are strongly encouraged to participate.   

These calls will be held on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the Month at 3pm EST/12pm PT. As this goal will be a major focus of homeless program operations for the remainder of CY 2022.

REMINDER: Update Grantee Intake Information

 

It is required that all SSVF grantees ensure their intake contact information is up to date at all times. As you have changes in that information, ensure you update this in UDPaaS.  This is done by selecting your fiscal year grant page, then the request activity tab, and finally by completing the “SSVF Intake Information” activity.

The SSVF Program Office has released an updated version of the Shared Housing Toolkit. This toolkit is intended to address questions and implementation concerns related to Shared Housing and increased utilization.  Given the current housing market, Shared Housing should be considered an effective tool to address housing needs.  The toolkit can be found on our website and at the link below:
