Subject: SSVF Special Edition Program Update: Planning For Potential Government Shutdown

The SSVF Program Office is aware of the potential for a government shutdown that could take place as soon as 10/01/2021. There is no expectation that the SSVF Program Office will be directly affected by a shutdown and Program Office operations will continue unencumbered. However, other government agencies as stakeholders in the SSVF Program could be affected such as the Department of Health & Human Services who operates the Payment Management System. In the past, during government shutdowns, PMS has not been affected, as such, the Program Office has not received any guidance to suggest it will be affected this time should another government shutdown occur. Should the Program Office receive any information regarding a limiting of PMS functionality, we will pass along that information as soon as it is available. However, as a precaution, we encourage Grantees to make drawdowns for all incurred expenses by COB September 30, 2021.
