Today, President Biden ended the COVID-19
national public health emergency. We would like to say thank you for all you
have accomplished and overcame over the past few years. You and your
teams have Let us reflect on all you accomplished and overcame worked long
hours, sacrificed precious time with your families and risked your own lives to
save or improve the lives of Veterans and those they love. You stepped up to
the multiple requests and initiatives sent down from our Program Office all
which were effective in keeping Veterans safe during the public health
emergency, but also in providing safety and permanent housing for thousands of
Veteran households. Because of your hard work and dedication, many of
those new initiatives will stay in place as services available for all Veterans
whom you serve. As we transition back to “Pre-COVID”
operations, we want to remind you that SSVF was a hugely successful program
before COVID, and with the new services and flexibilities that will stay in
place after today, we believe that you all will continue that success towards
ending Veteran homelessness.
