Subject:                                     SSVF Special Program Update: New SSVF National Director Announcement

SSVF is pleased to announce the new National Director,

Ms. Adrienne Nash Melendez

Please join us in welcoming (back) Ms. Adrienne Nash Melendez back to the VHA Homeless Program Office in her position as Director of Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF), where she will be responsible for providing leadership for all aspects of SSVF national program operations including policy development and program oversight.  She will also be responsible for large-scale program coordination and administration, which includes consultation, negotiation, and monitoring compliance to ensure SSVF standards and guidelines are met.

Adrienne is thrilled to return to HPO, for the past three and a half years she served as the first Mid-Atlantic Regional Administrator for AmeriCorps where she built a brand-new team of approximately 30 staff serving PA, NJ, MD, DE, VA, WV, DC, PR, and USVI. Before transitioning to AmeriCorps, Adrienne loved serving with SSVF, GPD, and HCHV. In addition to starting up MAR, she led the agency's first cross-region strategic outreach team for Public Health AmeriCorps, a partnership with CDC and AmeriCorps. She also served as the Executive Sponsor for the first Disability Action Group/Affinity Group at AmeriCorps and as AmeriCorps representative for the White House Working Group on Puerto Rico.  She holds a master’s degree in Leadership Development from Penn State University, graduate certificates in Human Resources and Project Management, and a bachelor's in Sociology from Washington College. She is a trained mediator and recently completed Advanced Mediation through Federal Mediation and Conciliation Services.

Sincerely,

SSVF Program Office
