The following library resources have mobile apps included in the national subscription and are available to all VHA Employees. All apps are available on the iOS and Android platforms. Click on the resource name for login instructions for each mobile app.
For library resources that do not have a dedicated mobile app, the resource website will automatically optimize for viewing on a mobile device. You will need to use an Athens Remote Access Account to access library resources if your device is not on the VA network.
Free with national subscription. Users must have an active My Access account and sign in every 90 days through your institution.
ClinicalKey / ClinicalKey for Nursing*
Free with national subscription. Users must have an active ClinicalKey personal account and sign in every 180 days through your institution. At first login you will be prompted to choose ClinicalKey or ClinicalKey for Nursing, but you can switch between databases by going to Menu > Change Role.
Lexicomp Online for Dentistry
Free with national subscription. Provides dental professionals with dental specific pharmacology information and drug interaction analysis tools to ensure medication safety in the dental clinic. For Mobile App access: Email Library Network Office to request instructions document.
Free with national subscription. Natural Medicines answers questions about dietary supplements and alternative therapies. The database has information on supplements' safety, benefits, side effects, drug interactions and more.contains summaries on the effects of medications, chemicals, infections, and physical agents on pregnancy, reproduction, and development.
Free with national subscription. Access VA-subscribed journals on the Ovid platform from your iPad, Samsung Galaxy or Fire HD tablet.
Free with national subscription. Reprotox contains summaries on the effects of medications, chemicals, infections, and physical agents on pregnancy, reproduction, and development.
Free with national or local subscription. StatRef contains access to a variety of ebooks (depending on your local or national subscription access)
Free with national subscription. VisualDX is an image-based differential diagnosis tool that is designed to help quickly identify dermatological diseases or conditions at the point of care.
