- Dr. Japuntich is a clinical psychologist, University of Minnesota Professor, and tobacco researcher. Dr. Japuntich's research focuses on the development, effectiveness, and implementation of interventions for tobacco use disorder and tobacco-related disease. In particular, Dr. Japuntich is interested in intervention strategies that improve access to treatment for tobacco use disorder through proactive delivery strategies, brief interventions embedded into healthcare settings, and digital interventions. She is particularly enthusiastic about the potential of treatment delivery methods given to all individuals, regardless of willingness to quit
