Research Interests
My primary research interest is the pathophysiological assessment and diagnosis of psychiatric and neurologic disease using the neuroimaging methods of magnetoencephalography and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), particularly functional MRI. I have experience in both resting-state and task related designs. My clinical work focuses on neurodegenerative diseases affecting cognition and movement. This work has centered on movement disorders, with Parkinson’s disease prominently represented. I have over 20 years’ experience in the treatment of this disorder, including pre-surgical assessment of and post-surgical programming of deep brain stimulator implants.
