Can Do MS delivers health and wellness education programs to help families living with MS thrive.
JUMPSTART Program: Offered at no charge in communities across the country, their JUMPSTART program provides participants and their support partners with interactive explorations of health, wellness, and lifestyle behaviors.
Webinar Series: Join the webinars live from the convenience of your home or office at no-charge for an in-depth discussion on topics relating to exercise, nutrition, communication, symptom management, employment and wellness. Their unique webinar series will provide insight from multidisciplinary MS experts, so you can gain comprehensive knowledge relating to MS. Interact with their team of consultants, ask questions, and learn how to adopt healthy lifestyle behaviors, actively co-manage your MS and live your best life. Connection Programs: Self-Help Groups, MSFriends, and One-to-One Peer Connections match trained peer support volunteers, who are people with MS or family members, with others who have an interest in connecting for support and education. For more information, visit Find Support.
Community Based Local Programs: The Society hosts community programs throughout the country. Programs are focused on connecting people with MS, while providing information and wellness education opportunities. Program content and objectives vary from location to location, but all provide an exceptional experience for people with MS to connect, learn, and make improved lifestyle decisions.
Featured programs available in select areas throughout the country in 2018:
Everyday Matters: A positive psychology program, Everyday Matters helps people with MS learn techniques to improve overall emotional wellness, while connecting with others living with similar life experiences. Available live in select locations, content and self-study is also available online.
Mood Changes in MS: This live education program brings together people with MS, providing an opportunity to learn and connect around a specific symptom facing people with MS today. The content of Mood Changes in MS explores the complex issues of mood disorders through personal examples from people with MS experiencing mood changes, as well as interviews with MS experts. The program explores how and why people with MS experience changes in mood, providing the latest information on how these symptoms can be addressed - from physical activity, medications, and counseling to self-management strategies.
Jumpstart: Can Do MS is the Society’s premier wellness education partner, bringing Jumpstart programs to markets throughout the country. The live programs are focused on three key educational areas: (1) diet, exercise, and health behaviors, (2) physical activity, and (3) emotional well-being, motivation, and goal setting.
Webinar Series: Brought to you in collaboration with Can Do MS, the webinar series brings together MS experts to help you learn strategies to live your best life with MS. The live programs are held the second Tuesday of each month from 8 to 9:15 pm ET, while recordings of the live programs are available in the webinar archives.
Videos: The Society’s collection of educational videos feature leading experts in the field of MS. Watch online, download, or request them from an MS Navigator. Topics include health and wellness, parenting, research, and symptom management.
