Since 2010, DAV has worked to make sure that family caregivers of all seriously injured and sick Veterans can get the same helpful support and services.
Eldercare Locator
A nationwide service that helps older adults and their caregivers find reliable local support. Whether someone needs help with meals, home care, or transportation, or a caregiver needs training or a break, the Eldercare Locator helps guide them to the right resources.

Paralyzed Veterans of America: Caregiver Support
Since 1946, PVA has worked to improve the lives of seriously injured Veterans. Their mission has been to help these brave men and women regain what they fought for: freedom and independence.
Psych/Armor
They provide important resources to help Americans support military service members, Veterans, and their families. Since less than 7% of Americans serve in the military, many people don’t know much about military life. Because of this, many service members and Veterans feel misunderstood and may hesitate to ask for help. Their mission is to close this gap by educating the public.
US Department of Health and Human Services
They run programs and services that help improve the well-being of people, families, and communities. They also give guidance on how to work together with caregiver organizations.

VA Coaching Into Care
A national phone service from the VA that helps teach, support, and guide family members and friends who are trying to get a Veteran into care. Their goal is to help Veterans, their families, and loved ones find the right services at their local VA or in their community.
VA Geriatrics and Extended Care
They have worksheets and handouts for caregivers, partners, and Veterans on shared decision-making, well-being, advance care planning, home and community-based services, residential care, and nursing homes.

VA National Center for PTSD
Works to improve care and support for Veterans and others who have gone through trauma or have PTSD. They do this through research, education, and training to better understand, diagnose, and treat PTSD and other stress-related problems.
VA Office of Rural Health: Resources
As the VA’s main supporter for rural health, ORH works to improve the health and well-being of Veterans living in rural areas by giving them better access to care and services. They have also created several videos about making health care decisions and caregiving.

Features blogs written by family caregivers, weekly words of comfort, daily chats, podcasts, and free webinars. Through these blog posts, podcasts, and video chats, CareGiving.com has one of the largest online collections of caregiving stories.
Caring Today
They support family caregivers by giving helpful advice, researching caregiving, and recommending professional resources. Their goal is to help caregivers live balanced, connected lives with better health and well-being. Everyone involved with Caring Today is or has been a family caregiver.
Family Caregiver Alliance: National Center on Caregiving
For 40 years, they have supported families and friends across the country who care for adult loved ones with chronic or disabling health conditions.
MS Foundation: Homecare Assistance Grant Program
They understand the daily needs and challenges faced by people with MS and their caregivers. To help meet these needs quickly and effectively, their Homecare Assistance Grant connects people with the best local services available. If local resources aren’t available, they may offer temporary direct support.
National Alliance for Caregiving
To support their mission, NAC does research, studies policies, creates national best‑practice programs, and works to raise public awareness about family caregiving. They understand that family caregivers make important social and financial contributions by caring for their loved ones. Along with national research and advocacy, NAC also gives technical support to a nationwide network of caregiving groups.
National Caregiving Foundation
They meet both the direct and indirect needs caused by serious diseases in our society. They do this by providing important information about Veterans, suicide prevention, and long-term care, as well as sharing helpful support materials.
National MS Society: Carepartners
They support MS research, provide services for people living with MS, and promote MS advocacy around the world. They also have the largest and most complete library of MS information anywhere.
Powerful Tools for Caregivers
They offer classes that help caregivers take better care of themselves while caring for a friend or relative. More than 4,600 trained leaders teach these classes in locations across the United States, as well as in Canada and Korea. The classes are available in English, French, Korean, and Spanish.
Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregiving
They build partnerships at the local, state, national, and international levels to support strong, long-term home and community-based services. They start by giving caregivers the support they need to stay healthy, build skills, and remain resilient. They strongly believe caregivers—both professional and family—deserve greater recognition for their important work.
Today's Caregiver
They are a leading source of information, support, and guidance for both family and professional caregivers. They publish Today’s Caregiver magazine—the first national magazine for caregivers—as well as caregiving books, custom materials, and the Fearless Caregiver Conferences.
Well Spouse Association
They speak up for people who care for a chronically ill or disabled spouse or partner. They offer peer support and teach health care professionals and the public about the special challenges “well” spouses deal with every day.
