Multiple Sclerosis Centers of Excellence Network Facilities

MSCoE is committed to ensuring access to VA MS health care services. To help in this process, a national network of MS care has been created. This network consists of the MSCoE East and West Coordinating Centers and the MS Regional and MS Support Programs.

MSCoE Coordinating Centers

There are two Coordinating Centers, MSCoE East, jointly located in Baltimore, MD and Washington, DC, and MSCoE West, jointly located in Seattle, WA and Portland, OR. The Coordinating Centers create national standards of MS care and collaborate with MS Regional and MS Support Programs across the US. The Centers are available for consultation with VA healthcare providers for Veterans receiving their MS care within the VA.network map with locations

MS Regional Programs

A VA facility that provides care for more than 100 Veterans with MS. The MS Regional Programs provide MS specialty care with a continuum of acute, chronic, and long-term care services consistent with VHA policies. The Director of the MS Regional Program often has specific training or extensive experience in MS management. There will be a minimum of one MS Regional Program in each Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN).

MS Support Programs

A VA facility caring for Veterans with MS, and not designated as an MS Regional Program. The MS Care Liaison, which can be a Director or Coordinator, at the MS Support Program will have knowledge on MS management and will collaborate with MS Regional Programs for MS care as needed.
