How to Create an Effective Capabilities Statement
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), hosts business development webinars to help entrepreneurs highlight their capabilities and past performance. In this training, attendees will learn the critical components for creating a clear and concise version of their business journey that reflects their past performance. An effective capabilities statement includes core competencies, past performance, differentiators, company data, and pertinent codes.
By attending this training, participants can participate in an interactive small group workshop that allows business owners to ask questions directly to VA OSDBU staff to provide peer interaction and one-on-one in-depth training while creating a quality Capability Statement. A question-and-answer period will follow, and attendees will be provided with an extensive list of internet business resources.
