Additional Services

Access to timely care for all Veterans, regardless of the type of care needed, continues to be a top priority for VA. To ensure all Veterans receive the care they deserve, VA also provides the following services:

  • Direct Audiology/Optometry Scheduling - Direct Scheduling in Audiology and Optometry means that Veterans no longer have to request a referral from their primary care provider in order to obtain these services.

  • Telehealth Services - VA Telehealth Services uses health informatics, disease management, and telehealth technologies to target care and case management to improve access to care.  Telehealth changes the location where health services are routinely provided.

  • Call Centers - Call Centers can assist Veterans with their needs by putting them in contact with the services they need.

  • Secure Messaging - Veterans can send and receive secure messages with their healthcare provider.
