The Amarillo VA Health Care System hosted its 17th Annual Welcome Home Veterans event on Saturday, November 2, 2024.
The purpose of this special event is to celebrate the service of Veterans during Veterans Month, whether they are enrolled in VA health care or not.
"This is a time to recognize our area Veterans and thank them for their service as well as connect them with valuable resources," said Dr. Rodney S. Gonzalez, AVAHCS Director.
Veterans and their families were able to enjoy an opening ceremony, food courtesy of United Supermarkets, a resource fair, door prizes, family fun and more.
AVAHCS encourages all Veterans to connect with VA to receive health care and benefits they have earned.
