Amarillo VA Health Care System held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the opening of its new location of the Childress VA Clinic on May 9, 2023.

The Amarillo VA Health Care System has reached a milestone of administering 20,000 COVID vaccines. The Amarillo VA began vaccinating Veterans against COVID-19 in December 2020 to decrease the risk of hospitalization or death due to Covid-19.

The Amarillo VA Health Care System called nearly 15,000 Veterans and held a telephone town hall June 16 to discuss a common topic of concern of Veterans – pain management and opioids.

The Amarillo VA Health Care System held a VA Fourth Mission blood drive at its Amarillo and Lubbock campuses on Feb. 25 to replenish the blood supply in the Panhandle and South Plains region.
