Join the national campaign and learn to provide life-saving emergency bleeding control!

No matter how fast professional emergency responders arrive, bystanders will always be first on the scene. A person experiencing life-threatening bleeding can die from blood loss within minutes, before first responders arrive. A bystander with STOP THE BLEED® training can slow or stop blood loss to keep someone alive until first responders arrive.

Learning to stop the bleed is a lifesaving skill. The number 1 cause of preventable death after injury is bleeding. With 3 quick actions, you can be trained and empowered to save a life. Join us at the VA Ann Arbor Medical Center for this free training event. This training is appropriate for anyone and no previous experience is required. Two training classes will be available on Friday April 25th at 10am and 2pm with each training session expected to last approximately one hour. Space is limited, please email VHAANNPublicAffairs@va.gov to register.
