Dr. Sherrill Murad, D.P.M. is a podiatric clinical and surgical attending at the JMCAVAMC.
Dr. Murad earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in 2008. Dr. Murad completed her 36-month podiatric medicine and surgery residency (PMSR) training and is a 2011 graduate of the Atlanta VA podiatry residency program. She is board-certified with the American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM). As an active member with ABPM, she has served as a representative of the medical board as a residency training program site evaluator for the Council on Podiatric Medical Education (CPME). She has also served as the Acting Chief, Podiatry Section; Assistant Chief, Podiatry Section; Assistant Podiatry Residency Program Director; Director, Podiatry Student Clerkship Program, and member of Resident Review Committee.
Dr. Murad has served on the Atlanta VA Professional Standards Board (PSB) and fulfilled a Facility Incident Command detail to Infectious Disease service line during the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Murad has served as the Prevention of Amputation in Veterans Everywhere (PAVE) facility Coordinator since 2018. She is currently working alongside Podiatry Chief, Dr. Nichol Salvo, as Program Lead for Office of Rural Health Enterprise Wide Initiative (ORH EWI) High Risk Eye and Limb Preservation Program (HELPP) which aims to increase access to podiatry services and basic foot care for Veterans at greatest risk for amputation and limb loss.
