Announcement: CCNE Accreditation Site Visit
Announcement
The Atlanta VA Health Care System is pleased to announce that we will host the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education [CCNE] for an accreditation site visit of our Nurse Practitioner Residency Programs: Geriatric Extended Care, Primary Care, and Psychiatric Mental Health, from March 10, 2025, through March 12, 2025. The Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Residency, established in 2015; the Geriatric Extended Care Nurse Practitioner Residency, introduced in 2022; and the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Residency, initiated in 2023, have all been instrumental in advancing our efforts to train nurse practitioners in these specialty areas.
CCNE is the premier accrediting agency for Nurse Practitioner Residency Programs, recognized nationally by the U.S. Secretary of Education.
