Mrs. Cooke is the Associate Director for Patient Care Services (ADPCS) for the VA Augusta Health Care System.

Mrs. Cooke graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She completed a Masters of Health Care Administration from the University of St. Francis and a Post Master’s Certification in Data Analytics from the University of Kansas. Mrs. Cooke is also certified as a DiSC Facilitator and 7 Habits of Highly Effective People Trainer. She is a certified VHA Mentor and completed certification in VHA Prosci Change Management.

Mrs. Cooke began her career as a graduate nurse at the Connecticut VA Healthcare System, where she worked in critical care. She then worked as a supervisor in the Mease Healthcare System in Florida before returning to VA at the Atlanta VA Medical Center in the CCU. Mrs. Cooke continued her career at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center where she held various positions including Nurse Recruiter, ED Nurse Manager, Chief Nurse Acute Care, Chief Nurse Medical Center Education and Nursing Operations,  Acting Chief Nurse GEC and Acting ADPCS. Mrs. Cooke has served on various national and VISN committees throughout her career. She has experienced significant success in the implementation of new programs, restructuring of programs, and creation of professional training programs and materials at the facility and VISN level resulting in improved and sustained outcomes of care and performance.

As the ADPCS, she is responsible for Nursing and Social Work Services in the provision of care to our nations veterans at VA Augusta Health Care System.
