Dr. Srinivas Ginjupalli, MD, CMD, FACHE is appointed as Chief of Staff at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center in December 2018.
Prior to this appointment he was Chief of Staff at VA Western Colorado Health Care System, Colorado since December of 2016. He was Deputy Chief of Staff at the Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System (CAVHCS) earlier. He also served as acting Chief of Staff at CAVHCS from August 2014 to January 2016 and as the Associate Chief of Staff (ACOS) for Geriatrics, Extended Care and Rehabilitation (GEC&R) Service Line at CAVHCS since August 2007.
Dr. Ginjupalli received a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery in 1986, a Degree of Master of Surgery specializing in Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT) in 1991, Certification of Foreign Medical Graduate (ECFMG) in 1992, and Federation Licensing Examination (FLEX) in 1993. He completed a Residency in Family Practice in 1997. He is professionally licensed in Utah and Alabama.
In 2001, after working three years in the private sector, he joined the team at Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System as a Staff Physician. He became the Medical Director for Home Based Primary Care (HBPC) Program in 2003 and in that same year received a Graduate Certificate in Medical Informatics from Oregon Health State University. He is recertified as Diplomat by the American Board of Family Medicine in 2016.
Dr. Ginjupalli was also detailed as the Acting Chief of Staff at Dorn VAMC, Columbia, SC, in 2013 and at VA Western Colorado Health Care System, CO in 2016. Additionally, he has completed the VISN 7 Physician Leadership Training Program and is a Fellow of the American College of Health Care Executives (FACHE).
