VA Benefits Expo: A One-Stop-Shop for Veteran Services

gym full of veterans at expo

By Megan Kon, Public Affairs Specialist, VA Southeast Network

On Wednesday, May 14, more than 700 Veterans and transitioning service members took advantage of the comprehensive services offered at the VA Benefits Expo.

This event was a true one-stop shop, providing participants with personalized assistance from VA Benefits claims service representatives, toxic exposure screenings, and a variety of healthcare resources from the VA Augusta Health Care System. Additionally, employment opportunities and other valuable resources were available thanks to contributions from community agencies and partners.

The mobile Vet Center was present to offer on-site counseling and outreach. Veterans found support for their job and career needs, along with information on National Cemetery and legacy benefits for their families. The VA Augusta Women's Clinic, Suicide Prevention team, Health Care for Homeless Veterans team, and many more were also on site, engaging with Veterans and handing out goodies. It was truly an event not to be missed.

If you were unable to attend the VA Benefits Expo, don't worry! You're in luck.
