Dr. Ketan Shah was appointed Chief of Staff at the VA Medical Center on April 12, 2013.
He served as Chief of Primary Care and Medical Service from June 2002 to April 2013. He is a Board Certified Internist. Dr. Shah Graduated from Bombay University, India. He completed three years of Internal Medicine residency at the Cook County Hospital in Chicago. He joined the Battle Creek VAMC in 1988. Dr. Shah graduated from the class of 2004 Executive Career Field Program. He has held several positions of progressive responsibilities at the Battle Creek VA. He has also served as ACOS for Ambulatory Care at the Battle Creek VAMC for six years.
Dr. Shah is the chairperson of Clinical Executive Board, Executive Committee of Medical Staff, Peer Review Committee, and Clinical Product Review Committee at the Battle Creek VAMC. He is also a member of Executive Leadership Board and Integrated Ethics Council at the Battle Creek VAMC. In addition to his Battle Creek responsibilities, Dr. Shah is a member of VISN 10 Healthcare Delivery Council as well as VISN 10 CRH and VAHC Governance Board.
