BAY PINES , FL — Bay Pines VA Healthcare System has exceeded the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ national average for outpatient trust and satisfaction, with an overall rating of 91.5 percent for the fiscal year.
This rating was sourced from a compiled Veterans Signals Veterans Health Administration Outpatient survey, which included feedback from every VA medical center across the nation.
“Bay Pines has steadily increased our outpatient trust score the last three years,” said Bay Pines VA Veteran Experience Officer Amy Whitaker. “We work diligently every day to ensure the Veterans we serve feel valued and respected, while receiving the highest quality health care. We are proud this work is paying off and will continue striving to exceed all expectations for the Veterans we are so honored to serve.”
Throughout the year, more than 38,300 Veterans completed the survey indicating that Bay Pines VA was their primary outpatient care center. The survey consisted of questions about outpatient scheduling; overall satisfaction with health care visits; pharmacy interactions; labs and imaging appointments; and how Veterans felt about their safety.
"This accomplishment is indicative of just how committed our staff are to providing Veterans with the world-class care they deserve," said Bay Pines VA Deputy Director Kris Brown. "We are proud to care for our nation's heroes and remain dedicated to fulfilling our mission of serving those who served."
According to the Veterans Affairs website, the Veterans Signals VHA Outpatient Survey is used to analyze what Veterans are saying about their outpatient experiences; the survey included more than 444,000 responses nationally.
