G. Mitchell Kennedy M.D.

He has previously served as Chief Medical Officer for VISN 10, Associate Chief of Staff for Research and Education at the Columbus VA Ambulatory Care Center (VAACC), Chief of Surgery at the Columbus VAACC and VISN 10 Chief Surgical Consultant.  He is board certified in Surgery, a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. 

Dr. Kennedy earned his medical degree and his undergraduate degree from West Virginia University.  He completed his residency at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Kennedy has volunteered at inner-city and underserved clinics in Columbus and has served on multiple medical mission trips to underdeveloped countries since 2008.
