Sunday May 18, 2025 , join our Outreach Team as they participate in the Alabama Veterans Memorial Foundation for the StepStone Dedication Ceremony to commemorate Memorial Day 2025. Come early and spend time viewing “Faces of the Price of Freedom,” the Hall of Honor, the Memorial Plaza, and enjoy the beautiful wooded trail. Veteran Resources will be available to assist Veterans at this event.

Patriotic Ceremony 1:30 pm:
1. Keynote Speaker: Brigadier General Jeffery Newton (retired), Commissioner for the
Alabama Department of Veterans Affairs located in Montgomery, Alabama. Topic: VA Family Benefits
2. StepStone Dedication by family and friends
3. Hear the Hoover Songbirds sing patriotic songs
Parking is located behind Mountain Brook athletic fields with shuttle buses to the Park entrance. Golf carts are available for those needing help down the Trail to the Flag Plaza. Visitors may be dropped off at the Park entrance and car returned to the parking area. Handicapped parking is located in the parking lot by the Park entrance.
