Birmingham VA physician named 2025 Bucksbaum-Siegler Clinical Excellence Award Honoree

Dr. Stefan Kertesz has been named 2025 Bucksbaum-Siegler Clinical Excellence Award Honoree.
This award honors physicians who exemplify compassionate care, clinical excellence, and a deep commitment to strengthening the doctor-patient relationship.
Dr. Kertesz is a Physician-Investigator with the Birmingham VA Health Care System and Professor of Medicine at the Heersink School of Medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Trained in internal medicine and addiction medicine, his work has remained focused on improving health care delivery for marginalized and underserved populations.
