Filipino American National Historical Society 18th Biennial Conference
July 15-18, 2020
Waikiki Beach, Hawaii
The FANHS 18th Biennial Conference theme, KAU KAU TIN: Sharing Filipino American Stories, reflects the initial stages of Hawaii’s Filipino plantation laborer’s history, their social environment; —1900, to where we are now; —2020. The early 1900s was a time, decades before the Filipino laborers were referred to as sakadas. Before being referenced as sakadas, they were referred to as Hawaii’s Filipino Plantation Laborers.



NAACP Convention

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People will hold the 111th National Convention in Boston, Massachusetts in July of 2020. Watch for more details to come as we draw closer to pre-registration and convention time.



Pistahan Parade & Festival
August 10-11, 2020
San Francisco, California
Experience the best of Filipino art, dance, music and food at the Pistahan Parade and Festival. Billed as the largest celebration of Filipino Americans in the U.S., the two-day event organized by the Filipino American Arts Exposition is expected to draw over 80,000 people over the weekend. Admission is free and fun for the entire family!
