Kris Cope assumed the role of Deputy Associate Director for Patient Care Services at the VA Central Ohio Health Care System in September 2022.
Kris is a Veteran of the Army/Army National Guard, retiring in 2015 with 31 years of service. She started with the VA in 2015 and has worked in the Transition and Care Management clinic, Employee Occupational Health, and most recently as the Nurse Coordinator, focusing on professional development of VA nurses. Kris earned a BA in Sociology from Rutgers University, an MSN from Norwich University, and obtained a Doctorate in Nursing Practice with a concentration in Population Health from Quinnipiac University. Kris continues to share her love for learning by teaching Nursing at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
